Frequently asked questions
Q. How do you price your services?
A. Our pricing is based on the size of your lawn. Each service we provide has its own minimum due to the varying cost of the product itself. Give us a call today for your FREE estimate!
Q. Do you offer lawn care services like mowing and landscaping?
A. As a lawn optimization company, our primary focus is on giving you the healthiest lawn possible, starting with balancing your lawn’s ecosystem. As such, we do not offer mowing or landscaping services, as these are considered to be more cosmetic in nature.
Q. How often should I water my lawn after a Spacek Outdoor Services lawn care application?
A. In most cases, your lawn should not be watered within 4 hours of an application. Some of our products require waiting a minimum of 24 hours.
After this period, you should water deeply and ONLY in the mornings. We recommend 30 minutes per station. This will drive the roots down deeply which will help create a strong root system.
Q. What's the ideal grass height for optimal lawn health?
A. We suggest mowing your lawn at a minimum of 3-4 inches. By keeping your lawn taller, this will allow the grass canopy to shade the soil keeping out weeds, conserve water and keep the soil from drying out. Notably, this height will help the cosmetic look by also covering any bare or thin spots until we can repair and overseed in the fall.
Q. Are your products safe to use around pets and kids?
A. Absolutely! All of our products are safe for pets and kids once the product is dry. A sign will be placed in your lawn after treatments to help remind you of this. We want to keep your pets, kids, and lawn healthy!
Q. How long before I see results?
A. Optimizing the health and beauty of your lawn is not a “once and done” event. Therefore, we highly suggest you pick a program that best fits YOUR needs and desires for the appearance you are striving for in your lawn. Typically, with the right moisture levels, results are seen in as soon as 1 week.
Q. How long before I see a reduction in moles or other pests?
A. At first treatment, you may actually see increased activity of moles due to the product beginning to work as it is intended. The moles will begin to vacate the area that has been treated.
We start out treating a small portion of your lawn (depending on lawn size) because we have to establish a barrier. We can always add additional square footage to continue moving these aggravating pests further, once we have pushed the moles out of the initial treated area.
Treatments are needed approximately every 6 weeks for best results, otherwise these pests will return to inhabit the area.
